Hey everyone, I know I’ve been scarce lately. The big reason is that I’ve been incredibly busy and part of that is due to the fact that I was in charge of the review for Watch Dogs Legion at Game Rant.
I know I’ve written about this game quite a bit lately, questioning the decision to basically remove the lead protagonist entirely. I honestly wasn’t sure what that was going to do to the game’s overall narrative as well as creating a character that players could essentially bond with over the 30 plus hours.

Needless to say, the game really surprised me especially with how it handles the “play as anyone” mantra. If you’re a fan of the franchise in general, it’s an easy game to recommend. It’s got some very interesting things going on, so check it out when you have a moment.
For those of you currently or planning to explore this fictional version of London, I have some news for you as well.

Does it have enough going for it to win over those who aren’t already Watch Dogs fans?
I guess that depends. What didn’t you like about it? If you didn’t like the characters then this is worth a look since you basically can play as anyone. However, if you weren’t a fan of the gameplay from the previous two, I’d say Legion doesn’t do enough to distinguish itself. The combat and gameplay is very similar to past games so if you didn’t like it then, I can’t see this doing anything to change your mind.
I see, thanks. Honestly, I’m not really a fan of Ubisoft games in general. They’ve all followed mostly the same formula since far cry 3. The one exception is Rainbow Six Seige, I think.
Yeah Rainbow Six is a different beast entirely. It’s their open world games that typically have that sameness feel to them. I will say that they’ve started to break away from the cookie cutter formula, which is good to see. But yeah, if you’re not a fan, then I’d say stay away. It won’t change your mind.
