It’s the weekend (and a holiday, so Happy Easter for those of you celebrating today) and that means it’s high time we get to another all-new Sunday Video Round Up! As we do every weekend, the round up brings you all the best gameplay and trailers from around the gaming industry. There’s a lot to get to this week, so let’s dive right in with a quick look at some of the content waiting for you below.

With only days left before Mortal Kombat 11 releases to everyone, NetherReralm Studios went hard with the marketing materials, moreso than usual. We got another character trailer showcasing Shao Kahn, but fans also got a great look at how the game plays on the Switch, and then a total fanservicey and nostalgia-fueled launch trailer. Seriously, it’s a treat, watch it if you have yet to do so.

Bungie went off script this week and put out a lengthy video detailing the origins of who exactly the Drifter is. Typically, Bungie leaves this side of Destiny 2 to the fans to dig into, but I have to admit, hearing the lore behind this interesting character was pretty refreshing. I’d love for the studio to dig in a bit more like this, but I won’t hold my breath.
