I hope you’re ready because October 2018 is arguably the busiest and biggest month of the entire year. The wallet pain train has finally arrived and is bringing a ton of major AAA franchises along with it. Let’s take a look at everything launching this month.
Love it or hate it, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is positioning itself to be a major player this month, which is earlier than its usual November launch. Oddly enough, the single player campaign has been completely scrapped this time around, letting Treyarch focus on Zombies, multiplayer, and the new battle royale mode, Blackout.
For most people, October starts and ends with one game: Red Dead Redemption 2. Even though this newest game from Rockstar is technically labeled as a sequel to the massive hit 2010 game, RDR2 is actually a prequel story and focusing on a new protagonist named Arthur Morgan. The level of polish and detail has been cranked up to 11, so for those looking to live a western fantasy, this is your game.
October doesn’t stop there, however. There’s an astonishing amount of games this month including Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, SoulCalibur VI, and more! Head down below and see the complete release list for the month of October.

Man the only line up I was actually excited for was Nintendos. Of course I’m going to play Red Dead, but I’m kinda more excited for Super Mario Party for some reason.
Hoping they get Mario Party right. I’m still upset that online multiplayer is only available for mini games and not a full on board party, but maybe there will be an update!
Huh, now that’s interesting. Removing the board party of it seems like a weird decision. Perhaps they were afraid of how long it would take?
You’re right though, it seems like something they could patch in later on.
Hey, to each their own. Nothing wrong with that. You do you.
Super Mario Party, Black Ops 4 and RDR2 are all reserved for me at Gamestop. Going to be a great month of gaming!

Great month for gaming, not so much for our wallets or time! 🙂
