Hope you’re having a good weekend so far everyone! Let’s celebrate Sunday with an all new Round Up, showcasing the best trailers and gameplay from around the industry over the past week. Here’s a small glimpse into what’s waiting for you below the jump.
It doesn’t get much bigger than Red Dead Redemption 2, now does it? Rockstar Games loves to keep things close to the vest, so while there’s still a ton we don’t know about this game, a third trailer does help fill in a few of the gaps. We now know the time frame, some of the characters, and the return of a fan favorite.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been a highly requested game from fans and while Ubisoft revealed it officially last year, the game has pretty much gone silent. With E3 approaching, Ubisoft appears to be gearing up for another reveal, as smaller trailers have started to hit including one this week that takes a look at combat and ship traversal.
I’ve also got new videos for SoulCalibur VI, Fortnite, Detroit: Become Human, and so much more after the break!

So it’s confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will have almost nothing to do with the original in terms of both gameplay and story. This is highly disappointing. Seriously, why even call it “Beyond Good and Evil 2” then?
I heard the term spiritual successor and that you’re playing as a pirate in this game. That’s really all I know so I don’t know how/if it all connects to Jade’s story.
I heard that this was a prequel of some sort that has nothing to do with Jade and the events of the first game. I don’t want to be the guy who complains about getting something instead of nothing, but I can’t help but wonder why they would bother calling this “Beyond Good and Evil 2” when it might have absolutely nothing to do with the original game. Why release a “sequel” 15 years later only to have it not even be a sequel? (Beyond Good and Evil could ahve used a sequel too, what with that cliffhanger ending and all.)
That’s pretty interesting. Now I’m really curious to see what Ubisoft does at E3…I can’t help but imagine this will be at the show and we’ll get more details on it.
I hope so. Need to know what exactly is going on with it.
