As I’ve mentioned in the past, games that have a Photo Mode are my weakness. This obsession with taking cool screenshots started with inFAMOUS: Second Son, a gorgeous open world action game that really propelled the early days of the PlayStation 4. Many other games caught on to its marketing potential and the feature has almost become a requirement these days.
Horizon: Zero Dawn, another first party stunner from Sony and Guerrilla Games, follows this tradition and I am simply obsessed with it. Not only is the game well made and a complete blast to play, but it’s one of the most visually striking games I’ve ever played, even on a vanilla PS4 console and a basic 1080p LED TV. Seriously, the facial animations, the textures, the vibrant colors, and little details are all just on point.
Don’t believe me? I’ve gone ahead and created a montage video of sorts, combining all of the screenshots and environmental videos I’ve captured while playing. Hopefully, it’ll help show off just how gorgeous this game is thanks to the power of Photo Mode.
Enjoy!
Another Photo Mode addict here xD. This game is a jewel I can’t stop playing… and also can’t stop taking captures.
I am right there with you for sure. It’s very addicting.
