As everyone expected, March was a wild, release filled month full of AAA games and even a new Nintendo console. While April may not be quite as exciting, it does manage to continue the strong release trend with a number of highly anticipated titles and perhaps a surprise or two as well.

Nintendo Switch gamers may still be completely invested in Breath of the Wild, rightfully so, but at the end of the month, an updated version of the wonderful Mario Kart 8 finally arrives. For fans who may be looking for something new to do, look no further than Mario and friends.

After getting delayed earlier this year, Persona 5 finally hits store shelves, ensuring that players will be pouring countless hours into the latest entry. Personally, I’m very much looking forward to Rare’s Playtonic Games first entry and hopeful revival of the 3D platformer genre with Yooka-Laylee. Colorful, googly-eyed creatures for the win!
