Now Arriving: Games of October 2016

We’ve finally arrived. In addition to candy, spooks, and treats, the month of October also signals the start of the fall games rush where fans are going to be seeing major releases just about every single week until December. I hope you’ve been saving up!

Shooter fans, this is the month you’ve been waiting for as there’s a ton of big names dropping this month. Leading things off is Gears of War 4, the next big entry in the long running Xbox franchise. Titanfall 2 caps off the month as well with more robot on robot action, but the big name in the middle of this shooter sandwich is undoubtedly Battlefield 1. Instead of following in the footsteps of most shooters these days, Battlefield 1 turns back the clock, letting players experience the horrors of World War I first hand.

Not into shooters? No worries, there’s plenty of games for you as well with Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Mafia III, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, and Paper Mario: Color Splash to name a few.

Virtual Reality fans, this is your month as well. With the PlayStatyion VR headset and PlayStation 4 Pro ready to hit store shelves, there’s a ton of new VR game experiences as well. There’s a ton of great content in the month of October, but make sure to not spend all your money this month as the holiday rush begins next month in November. I’ll see you then!
