With the worst of the summer drought now behind us, August is primed to deliver some highly anticipated (and previously delayed) games to help ferry us into the fall and holiday release storm.
Things heat up early this month with the intriguing and highly anticipated survival exploration…sci-fi…shooter thingy known as No Man’s Sky. Listen, I’ll be honest here, I still have no idea what this game is all about, but ever since it was announced a few years ago, people have been going nuts for this game. With the amount of limitless potential the game promises for discovering lifeforms, planets, and everything else as you rocket towards the center of the universe, I can certainly understand why. With the amount of hype this game has, I’m curious to see if the game soars or is crushed by fan expectations.
The other major release this month is another game which was hit with a 6 month delay earlier this year. Finally, stealth action fans don’t have too much longer to wait for Adam Jensen and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
August also features a number of big names from Madden 17, World of Warcraft: Legion, and the return of the long running fighting game, King of Fighters.

Yep, I agree about No Man’s Sky. I know what it’s about because so much has been released about it… yet I also still have no idea. I’ll just have to play it I guess. I’m excited to see what it’s like, but I also wonder if it will be amazing or just get crushed by fan hype, as you say.
Also excited for Deus Ex. That’s on my to-play list as soon as it comes out!
