It’s really hard to believe but the end of 2015 is right around the corner. As such, the annual Gamer Crash Awards are quickly approaching, celebrating my favorite games in a variety of topics all month long culminating in my Game of the Year on December 31. So before we jump into 2016, lets take a moment to look back at all the great content we were given over the past 12 months.
So for you newbies, here’s how this all works. Since I’m a one man show here and also a functional adult human being, I simply don’t have the money or time like other sites such as IGN or Gamespot to play and review everything. I do the best I can with what I’m given but essentially, you won’t see every game you’d expect on some of these lists. Like any review I do, I can’t pass judgment on something if I haven’t spent time with it. I may do an “amended” post like I did earlier this year once I’ve managed to play more games that missed the cut.
You can certainly expect the usual groups this year such as Best Download and Biggest Surprise, and considering I also picked up a WiiU earlier this year, I’ll have a category for Best WiiU game as well.
The first category kicks off next week and runs the length of the month, so make sure to check back often. I’ll also have a handy link at the top of the site banner with links to each category as they’re released. I’d love to hear from you as well, so join the discussion and let me know what games you enjoyed this year as well.
Here’s a look back at the past four years if you’re curious about winners or want to see my thought process a little more clearly:
2014: Soundtrack, Best Character, Download, Biggest Surprises, Games of the Year
2013: Soundtrack, Download, Biggest Surprises, Game of the Year
2012: Downloadable Title, Best Character, Xbox 360, PS3, Biggest Surprise, Soundtrack, Game of the Year
2011: Downloadable Title, Xbox 360, PS3, Disappointment, Soundtrack, Game of the Year
2010: Downloadable Content, Wii, Disappointment, Game of the Year
