It’s a new week and that means it’s time for a brand new Saturday Video Round Up entry in the Screenshot Safari. If you want to see what I’ve done so far or want to get a sense of what I’m actually talking about, make sure to click here and here. Better yet, if you want to participate, head on over to C.T. Murphy’s site for the official rules.
This week I’ve decided to tackle the Heroes or Villains theme.
Game: inFamous Second Son
Okay, yes, I know, I’m again using a picture from Second Son. You caught me. I can’t help it, that game is beautiful and I found myself addicted to it’s easy to use, yet wildly powerful screenshot mode. I literally have a ton of screenshots from this game.
So without giving too much away in terms of spoilers, the above screenshot is taken earlier in the game between the player’s character Delsin Rowe and Hank Daughtry. Within this game, it’s tough to label either character as a villain or hero depending on the player’s viewpoint and actions, but the two are facing off against each other so it counts.
The shot was a little tricky to capture as Delsin swings his chain extremely fast, so trying to pause the action at just the right frame was a challenge. Delsin’s character has access to multiple powers but in this image, he’s using the smoke power which essentially turns his chain into a fire whip. Using the photo mode, I was able to highlight the chain more so than usual and I really love the embers that were left behind he swings.
