While August doesn’t quite represent the end of the summer drought period, the good news here is that we’re quickly heading to a better spot in terms of releases. Just wait, the flood gates of September and October will be upon us soon enough.
While it’s still not a massive list of titles to pick from this month, there’s a bunch of higher profile games for you to pick from including Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for you console gamers, the yearly Madden title, and also a “next-gen” remastered version of both Metro games in case you missed it them last generation. I’m sticking to my advice from last month though. Start saving now for the release crush that awaits us in October.

I’m surprised that Risen got another game. Wasn’t Risen 2 on many a “worst of the year” list back in 2012?
I can’t quite remember actually. My friend was excited about it before it released and I remember him saying it was okay. Definitely did not live up to the hype for him.
