Happy inFAMOUS day to all you PlayStation 4 owners out there!
Those of you who have booted up the game for the first time should have seen that a “Day 1” patch was needed to be downloaded before you could start throwing fire around. Most games have Day 1 patches these days, but while many of those are to shore up things the developer didn’t have time to fix prior to going gold, Second Son’s day 1 patch is a little different.
In a rare move, this day 1 update for inFAMOUS Second Son actually adds more content to the game. Five hours worth of content to be exact. So what are you actually getting with this content?
The biggest piece to this pie is the 19 new missions which form the “Paper Trail” story line. This free DLC was co-developed by Sucker Punch and 42 Entertainment who are in charge of the ARG, enjoyyourpower.com. The objective behind this content is to discover the origins of the Department of Unified Protection and why they’ve occupied Seattle. New content will becoming available each week for the next 6 weeks in game and also on the website listed above.
Other aspects to this patch introduce the Cole’s Legacy DLC pre-order pack, difficulty tweaking, and engine performance. If you’re a technical and detail oriented type of person, I’ve listed out the entire patch release notes below the break originally posted via videogamer.com
