Prepare to Drop! Titanfall Release Date and Collector’s Edition Detailed

In a surprise move yesterday, Respawn Entertainment revealed that it’s upcoming shooter, Titanfall, will be hitting store shelves much sooner than you think. You’ll be able to finally get your hands on this widely acclaimed and awarded game on March 11, 2014.

I’m thrilled by this news as I figured we wouldn’t be seeing this one till at least May 2014 at the earliest. This is one time that I’m glad I was wrong. Ever since being announced back at E3 of this year, it seems Titanfall has received no shortage of awards, recognition, and also high praise from pretty much everyone that has gotten their hands on it. It’s one of my most anticipated titles so I’m glad the wait is much shorter than originally predicted.

If you need an extra dosage of Titans, Respawn would like you to take a look at their Collector’s Edition of the game. Inside this huge package you’ll be getting your hands on a hand crafted 18 inch diorama of a Titan and Pilots which also has LED lights. In addition, you’re getting 190 page art book and a full size schematic poster of a Titan. While this all sounds great, you’ll need to start saving now as this edition of the game rings up at $250.

Titanfall launches on March 11 in North America and March 13 in Europe for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

I think I’d rather buy another monitor or seriously consider a Wii U. This is cool stuff, for sure, but that cost is … extravagant.

    • Yeah, no doubt it’s a cool Collector’s Edition but at $250 it’s way out of my price range. I would have liked to see more stuff added at that price even if it was just like weapon skins or something.
