Well, here’s something I didn’t think I’ve ever talk about again: the wonderful yet under appreciated action game, Enslaved: Odyssey To The West is getting a second chance at retail. Namco Bandai announced yesterday that the title will be coming to PC and PS3 in a new “premium version.” I’ve not a clue why the Xbox 360 was omitted.
At this time, Namco Bandai has not announced any of the premium version details such as what’s included, what’s new, and even a price point. Frankly, I’m curious if Ninja Theory is even handling the port considering it’s been about three years since Enslaved released. It’ll be very interesting to see what price point they settle on for the game especially when you consider how fast the original title dropped in price. I’d have to imagine that the only piece of DLC, Piggsy’s Perfect 10, will be included and hopefully a few other items as well.
Personally, I’m thrilled that people will be getting a second chance to check out this beautiful title from the guys at Ninja Theory. It didn’t do so hot at retail, which is disappointing because I found it to be a fantastic title. If you’re curious to know more, you’ll want to definitely have a look at my review of the game from a few years ago. While we don’t have any of the details quite yet, this is something you’ll want to keep your eyes on.
