For those dreaming of a return to the lush tropical islands of the first game in a decent sized chunk of single player expansion DLC, I hate to burst your bubble but you’ll have to keep holding out hope a little longer.
After teasing new DLC earlier last week featuring a more tropical looking vibe, Crytek finally pulled the curtain back and revealed just what it has cooking up. As it turns out, the big tease was for a multiplayer pack featuring 4 new maps all set in the west Pacific region 200 miles from the islands present in Crysis and Crysis: Warhead. The four new maps where the Cell Corporation and Rebel forces will be fighting are Coastline, Creek, Crossing and Ascent. In addition, two new multiplayer modes are included in this download: Frenzy and Possession. Not details were divulged on either of those modes at the time of this writing.
The Lost Island DLC pack will be available next week on June 4 for $14.99 on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
