It’s been a little while since we’ve gotten a significant update for Borderlands 2 from Gearbox. That all changed yesterday after lead writer Anthony Burch tweeted out a picture which (accidentally?) had a poster with the DLC name in the background. The tweet has since been removed, but perhaps because of it, Gearbox has come out to provide confirmation and a few details of its latest DLC expansion.
This fourth campaign, titled Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, centers around the unstable teen as she sets up a board game not unlike Dungeons & Dragons which will serve as the launching off point for the DLC’s story. Acting as resident “dungeon master”, Tina narrates the action and can also change the story through various means like altering boss stats on the fly, character names, or locations. It’s all up to her twisted mind. The original Vault Hunters from the first game are also gathered around the table playing along as well with you as a character in their game. It sounds pretty ambitious and also a great final DLC pack for the season pass holders.
Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep will be hitting Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on June 25 for $10 or free if you picked up the season pass.
