In the market for a new survival horror game? What if I told you there’s one being developed by famed developer Shinji Mikami responsible for games like Resident Evil and Vanquish? Interested now?
Originally announced under code-name “Zwei” back in 2012, The Evil Within is a brand new survival horror game that promises to bring back the “perfect blend of horror and action” and push the limits of feat and exhilaration Mikami is serving as the game’s director and if the live action video is any indication, there is going to be some twisted and seriously messed up enemies to deal with. Mikami has also said that he’s very involved with the game’s development in order to make sure the quality is on the level he is striving for. If it’s looking to raise anxiety and tension, then setting the game in a rusty and broken down hospital, well, you’re certainly on the right track.
The Evil Within is being developed by Shinji Mikami’s new studio, Tango Gameworks in conjunction with Bethesda and is planning to hit PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360 and next-gen consoles sometime in 2014.
