It’s Coming! The 3rd Annual Gamer Crash Awards Approach From the West!

I can’t beleive I’m typing this but it’s December and that means the 3rd Annual Gamer Crash Awards are right around the corner.  Seriously, it feels like I just went to PAX East like last week.  Where does the time go?

Before we look ahead to 2013, join me in looking back at 2012.

For those who are new to the site, December is the time when I slowly pull back the curtain on my favorite games of this past year.  It’s my way of celebrating the best of the year that was.  My one rule is that in order to be nominated, I need to have played the game.  Like any review, I can’t pass judgment on something if I haven’t spent time with it.  Favorite categories are making a return such as Soundtrack of the Year and Download of the Year, but I’m also going to throw in some new categories as well.

With that said, I’m still undecided if I’m going to a “Biggest Disappointment” award this year only because I’ve somehow managed to avoid the turds that have dropped this year.  Since I need to have played the game, it wouldn’t be fair to throw a game up just based on popular opinion.  Plus, I can’t generate a realistic opinion on something I haven’t played.

In the following weeks, I’ll be awarding games all leading up to my pick for Game of the Year 2012 sometime near New Year’s Eve.  With such great games releasing this year, it’s going to be an extremely hard decision.  It’s my favorite time of the year, so I’m going to get back to prepping these here awards.
