Starting from a browser-based games, RedLynx moved the very difficult dirtbiking game to the masses on Xbox Live back in 2009 with Trials HD. Not satisfied with the success from HD, RedLynx is looking to up the ante to insane levels with their follow-up, Trials Evolution.
Personally speaking, I’m a big fan of the franchise. Yes, it’s insanely difficult at times, but some of the ways you die are just completely hilarious. The levels themselves are very well made if not borderline masochistic.
With Evolution, RedLynx is offering players even more. You’re still getting the classic obstacle course runs you love, but in addition, you’re getting local and online multiplayer, incredibly diverse settings (no more warehouse only maps), and the best part of this deal, a track editor that may rival the one you get in LittleBigPlanet 2. Yes, you can now make that first person shooter you’ve always wanted.
You know what? I’m going to stop talking. Here’s a handy video, which will explain everything. Don’t forget to pick your jaw up off the floor after you’re done watching.
