The gang over at Vostok Games are hard at work on an upcoming free-to-play MMOFPS for the PC.  So why should you care?  You may remember Vostok better when they went by the name GSC Game World, the former caretakers of the popular PC series S.T.A.L.K.E.R.  When GSC went down earlier this year, the members quickly formed a new studio now known as Vostok Games and quickly began working on Survarium.

Thankfully, the team isn’t straying far from the formula that made S.T.A.L.K.E.R. great.  Since the team doesn’t have access to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. license, they’re not able to use anything from that franchise.  However, this won’t stop them in making the game in the same spirit.  Survarium is set in the near future as a massive ecological event leaves the Earth a wasteland.
