Have you ever wondered how the dynamic narration would work in a massive RPG like Skyrim? Have you ever caught yourself daydreaming about what Rucks would say about dragon attacks or awaiting an execution? Well, lucky for you, someone had the same idea.
A user over on YouTube used mod tools on the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and mixed it with vocals from Logan Cunningham, who voiced the narrator, Rucks, in the arcade title Bastion to create a mishmash of awesomeness. I saw this the other day and I would be doing you all a great disservice if I didn’t share it. Part 1 focuses on the intro sections of Skyrim, with a reinterpreted storyline. At first I thought the user somehow got Logan to do audio for it, but doing more research I found out he took actual audio from Bastion and applied it himself. So how did he get the word “Ulfric” you might be wondering? Turns out he combined the words “Zulf” and “Cinderbrick”. Pretty clever if you ask me.
Honestly, adding Logan Cunningham’s narration to anything will instantly make it 1000% more interesting. Have a look for youself:
