It seemed to be a pretty big week for announcements last week for some reason. Traveller’s Tale and Warner Bros finally pulled back the curtain on the next installment of the Lego Batman franchise with Lego Batman 2: Super Heroes. I do love me some Lego games, so this is pretty exciting. Yes, the games may be easy, but they’re really fun and also do a great job for local co-op. Can never have too many of those.
So the big twist this time around is the fact that other DC Comic Heroes are joining up with Batman including Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and I’m sure a whole giant list of unlockable heroes. Joker has apparently teamed up with Lex Luthor and they’re out to destroy Gotham City. This is honestly starting to sound more like a Justice League game than a Batman one.
That’s really all we know at this point in terms of game details. If you’ve played any of the other numerous Lego games though, I’m sure it will play similar to those. Lego Batman 2 is coming out sometime this Summer for just about every gaming device out there. For confirmation purposes though, you can expect to see it on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS Vita, 3DS, and Nintendo DS.
